Make a correctly sized print
Choose a photo size, position the crop box, then download an individual JPG or a sheet of copies. The individual photo and the sheet use 300 DPI dimensions. PDF sheets place each photo at its selected millimetre size, which helps a printer preserve the physical dimensions.
The 35 × 45 mm option is commonly requested for application forms and some visa photographs. The 2 × 2 inch option is commonly used for US documents. Requirements differ by country, document and issuing office, so choose the size the issuer asks for. Indian passport applications made in India are photographed at Passport Seva Kendra; this tool does not claim to replace that process.
Check official requirements
This tool only crops and sizes a photograph. It does not assess head size, eye position, expression, lighting, shadows, glasses, background rules or whether a document will accept the image. It also does not replace or change the background. Check the current instructions from the embassy, school, employer or issuing office before you submit a photo.
For a printed sheet, select actual size, 100% or the equivalent setting in the print dialog. Do not choose fit to page, because it changes the physical photo size.
Limitations
- The tool crops and sizes a photo only; it does not check official face, background, lighting or expression rules.
- It cannot guarantee that a photo will be accepted, because requirements vary by issuer and document.
- It does not remove or replace backgrounds.

Frequently asked questions
What is passport-size photo in India?
Many Indian forms ask for 35 × 45 mm, but the issuing organisation sets the requirement. Check the form or its current instructions before using any preset.
Is 2 × 2 inches the same as 35 × 45 mm?
No. A 2 × 2 inch photo is 51 × 51 mm and is square, while 35 × 45 mm is a rectangle.
Does this remove the background?
No. It only crops and sizes your existing image. Use a photo with the background the issuer requires.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Cropping and sheet creation happen in your browser, and the image is not sent to this website.
