Spin the Wheel
Add your own options to a spinner wheel and let it pick one at random. Great for decisions, games and classroom activities.
Up to 100 options, 60 characters each.
Winner
The winner is picked using the cryptographic random API. Your options stay in your browser and are not sent anywhere.
Runs entirely in your browser. Your files and text are not uploaded.
How to use Spin the Wheel
-
Step 1: Add your options
Type or paste the options you want on the wheel, one per line.
-
Step 2: Spin
Press the Spin button. The wheel animates and lands on a random option.
-
Step 3: Spin again
Press Spin as many times as you like. Each spin is independent. Use the Remove winner checkbox to eliminate picked options.
How it works
The wheel assigns each option an equal slice. When you press Spin, a random stopping angle is chosen using the browser's cryptographic random API, and the wheel animates to that position. The animation is purely visual — the winner is decided the instant you press the button.
Use cases
- Decisions: Can't decide where to eat? Add the restaurants and spin.
- Classrooms: Pick a student to answer a question.
- Games and raffles: Draw a random winner from a list of names.
- Team activities: Assign tasks, choose who goes first, or pick a topic.
Remove winner mode
Enable "Remove winner after spin" to eliminate each winning option from the wheel. This is useful for raffles or round-robin assignments where you don't want repeats.
Limitations
- Up to 100 options and 60 characters per option.
- The wheel is a visual aid; the random selection uses the same cryptographic API as the Random Number Generator.
- Options and results are not saved. Refreshing the page clears them.
- Very short option labels may be hard to read on the wheel.
